Despite Ceasefire, Home Front Command to Operate “Quiet Broadcast” This Shabbat

Israel’s Home Front Command announced that “Quiet Broadcast” (גל שקט) alert mode will be in effect throughout Shabbat, despite the ongoing ceasefire with Iran. The system, designed to discreetly alert observant communities without sounding sirens, will function via personal alert devices and designated radio stations. Residents are encouraged to pre-select their location in the Home Front Command app before Shabbat begins. Participating radio stations broadcasting in “quiet mode” include: Kol Barama – 105.7, 104.3, 92.1FM; Kol Chai – 92.8, 93.0 ,102.5 FM; Kan Moreshet – 90.5, 90.8, 92.5, 100.7 FM; Galei Israel – 89.3, 94.0, 106.5 FM, Kol Play – 107.6 FM; Radio 90 – 94.7 FM ; Radio Darom (Ashkelon, Ashdod, Sderot, Lachish, Gaza border) – 101.5 FM The system allows for emergency communication while respecting Shabbat observance in religious communities.
