Dubai’s DP World Signs $800M Deal to Expand Tartus Port in Syria

Sultan bin Sulayem, head of Dubai’s DP World, signed a cooperation agreement today with Syria’s Ports and Crossings Authority to invest $800 million in expanding the Tartus port on Syria’s Mediterranean coast. Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa, freshly returned from Azerbaijan, personally oversaw the signing ceremony.
