Egyptian Official: No Breakthrough in Hostage Talks

A senior Egyptian official involved in the negotiations told Lebanon’s Al-Akhbar newspaper that there is “no new horizon” for progress, citing Israel’s insistence on a comprehensive — not partial — agreement, which he described as “an extension of endless manipulation.” According to the report, Egypt and Qatar informed Israel that there is still no accurate count of the living hostages, saying the process requires time and security arrangements dictated by Palestinian terror groups.
