First local elections in 20 years held in Deir al-Balah, Gaza

Local authority elections are being held in Deir al-Balah in central Gaza Strip for the first time in 20 years. Hamas police officers are securing the polling stations. Palestinian local authority elections are also taking place today in the West Bank.
