Fort Hood shooter Nidal Hasan to be executed by firing squad at attack site

Nidal Malik Hasan, the U.S. Army officer who killed 13 people in a 2009 shooting at Fort Hood base in Texas, is set to be executed by firing squad at the same location where he carried out the attack. President Trump recently signed the execution order. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth announced the execution will take place at the base and will be broadcast live, with a planned date of December 3rd. Hasan, a psychiatrist of Palestinian descent, opened fire at the Soldier Readiness Processing Center on November 5, 2009, killing 13 and wounding 30 before being shot and paralyzed by police.
