German Foreign Minister makes surprise visit to Israel

Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar, accompanied by Germany's Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt, conducted a site visit to Bat Yam following a missile strike that targeted the city. During the visit, Saar called for the reimplementation of the Snapback sanctions mechanism, urging Germany, the UK, and France to act swiftly against Iran’s growing missile threat. Saar’s comments highlighted the growing urgency of strengthening international pressure on Iran, specifically in response to its missile activities. The Snapback mechanism, which allows the re-imposition of previously lifted UN sanctions, was proposed as a crucial tool to curb Iran’s military advancements. Saar emphasized that the current geopolitical climate demands a coordinated and firm stance to safeguard regional security.
