Greek Defense Minister Warns of Rapidly Developing Threat from Turkey

Greek Defense Minister Nikos Dendias publicly warned that Greece faces a threat from Turkey, calling it an "existential issue." Speaking about defense spending concerns, Dendias stated: "I cannot hide this from you. You already know it, but it must be stated openly: the country is facing a threat. We must maintain the capability to deal with a threat that is developing very rapidly. I understand the concern for public funds, and I share it as well. But this is an existential issue."
