Hamas official warns of broader regional response if Israel escalates Gaza aggression

Senior Hamas official Osama Hamdan told Al Jazeera that Israel's assassination of military commander Izz al-Din al-Haddad aims to pressure Hamas into surrender. Hamdan stated that Hamas has "courses of action available" if negotiations fail and warned that deeper Israeli aggression against Gaza would trigger "a broader Palestinian response as well as a regional response." He added that the enemy is not interested in President Trump's plan and that contacts with mediators are ongoing regarding the assassination.
