Hassan Khomeini compares potential Iran-US deal to Prophet's strategic treaty
Hassan Khomeini, grandson of Islamic Revolution founder Ruhollah Khomeini, has drawn parallels between potential Iran-US understandings and the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah, in which Prophet Muhammad accepted temporarily unfavorable terms with the Quraysh tribe for strategic reasons. The treaty is viewed in Islamic tradition as a model for "strategic patience"—accepting humiliating conditions temporarily for eventual victory. The comparison suggests even Khomeini's grandson fears Iran's fate without reaching an agreement with the United States.
