Hezbollah official reveals Nasrallah's devastation after pager attack
Wafiq Safa, a senior Hezbollah official who served as liaison between the group's military and political wings, reveals in a recent interview that Hassan Nasrallah was deeply affected by the September pager attack. Safa states Nasrallah "could not bear the sight of the wounded" and "stopped eating and barely drank." He adds that if Nasrallah had not been killed in the subsequent Israeli strike, "he would have died of grief." Safa describes the pager attack as unprecedented, saying "Everything that happened in the 40 years preceding the exploding pager attack was one thing. The exploding pagers was something completely different."
