Hezbollah to distribute $200 million from Iran to displaced Lebanese families
Hezbollah received $200 million from Iran to assist Lebanese displaced by this year's war with Israel, according to Reuters. Ali Daamoush, head of Hezbollah's Executive Council, announced the distribution of aid to residents whose homes were destroyed: $14,000 for families in Dahieh, Beirut ($6,000 for rent, $8,000 for furniture) and $12,000 for families in other parts of Lebanon ($4,000 for rent, $8,000 for furniture). Fouad Makhzoumi, a Sunni leader in Lebanon, called on the Lebanese government to immediately investigate the source of the funding.
