Hostage release to start at 8AM tomorrow (Monday)

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) are preparing for the release of hostages within hours, with the operation expected to begin early Monday morning, around 8:00 a.m., according to military correspondent Doron Kadosh. Families of the hostages have been briefed on the expected timeline. The release will reportedly take place from three separate locations — Gaza City, the central refugee camps, and Khan Younis. After being handed over by the Red Cross to IDF forces inside Gaza, the hostages will be transferred to the Re’im reception center, where they will undergo an initial medical evaluation and reunite with family members. From there, they will be airlifted by helicopter to one of three designated hospitals. At this stage, the IDF says it is unclear how many of the returned will be living hostages and how many will be bodies. Some of the fallen are expected to be returned tomorrow, with others to follow in the coming days. The military emphasized that under the terms of the agreement, Hamas is obligated to return all hostages — both living and deceased — and must provide full information regarding the whereabouts of any remaining captives in Gaza.
