Houthis warn airlines against flying over Saudi Arabia, Western carriers cancel flights

The Houthis have issued warnings to civilian airlines operating in Saudi Arabian airspace, stating the area is now considered an active zone for their missile forces. The group exempted airspace above Mecca and Medina from the warning. The Houthis declared they disclaim responsibility for any risks to aircraft, crews, passengers, and workers if airlines fail to heed the warning. They stated the warning will remain in effect until the "aggression and blockade on Yemen ends." Western airlines are reportedly canceling flights to Saudi Arabia in response to the threat.
