IDF Chief: 75% of Gaza Under Control, War to Expand if No Deal Reached

IDF Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir, during a visit to Gaza, announced that the objectives of Operation “Gideon’s Chariots” have been achieved: “We now control 75% of the Gaza Strip and are nearing a very strategic junction. In the coming days, we’ll know whether a deal is reached or not. If an agreement is made—we’ll halt and prepare defensive lines as defined by the political echelon. If no deal is reached—my directive to Southern Command is to intensify and expand combat operations as much as possible.”
