IDF Chief of Staff praises special units for unprecedented classified operations

Chief of the General Staff LTG Eyal Zamir visited Palmachim Airbase Sunday with Air Force Commander MG Omer Tishler, praising special units for operations that "will be written in the pages of IDF history." Zamir told troops their recent operations were unprecedented, requiring courage and imagination, but most cannot be discussed publicly. He noted the IDF operated farther than ever before with unique capabilities during multi-front operations. The visit included a situational assessment of Air Force readiness for defense and offense scenarios. Zamir also thanked reservists, calling them central to Israel's ability to withstand multi-front war.
