IDF completes clearing of Hezbollah underground network in southern Lebanon
IDF's 36th Division has completed clearing operations of two underground routes in the Ali al-Taher Ridge area within the Security Zone in southern Lebanon. Soldiers achieved operational control above and below ground, eliminating some terrorists while others fled. The operation to neutralize the cleared infrastructure sites is ongoing. The underground network contained command centers, weapons storage, generator rooms, living quarters, and kitchens, enabling terrorists to manage combat and remain underground for extended periods. The infrastructure is a strategic network built over two decades and funded by Iran, according to the IDF.
