IDF Conducts Surprise Readiness Test Following October 7th Lessons
IDF Chief of General Staff LTG Eyal Zamir conducted a surprise readiness test called "Breaking Dawn 2.0" at the Ground Training Center, examining the military's ability to respond to sudden, complex multi-front scenarios. The exercise assessed alert forces, reserves activation, and decision-making processes across command levels. "Today's examination sends a message to our enemies: The IDF is fit, ready to defend the State of Israel, and prepared to act quickly and strike with force anyone who attempts to harm us," Zamir stated. The test implements lessons from the October 7th massacre and evaluates operational plans ahead of the upcoming holiday period. Zamir warned that anyone attempting to harm Israel "will encounter a determined IDF that is prepared and ready, and will pay an immediate and very heavy price."
