IDF Denies Responsibility for UNIFIL Troops Injured in Southern Lebanon

The IDF concluded its inquiry into Monday's incident in which UNIFIL troops were injured by an explosive device in the Bani Haiyyan area of southern Lebanon. The military says no IDF explosive device was placed in the area and no IDF troops were present at the time. The IDF states it is operating against Hezbollah, not against UNIFIL, the Lebanese Armed Forces, or Lebanese civilians, and calls on UNIFIL to avoid combat zones where evacuation warnings have been issued.
