IDF dismantles 11 kilometers of Hamas tunnels in Beit Hanoun operation

IDF troops from the Northern Brigade and Yahalom Unit completed a major engineering operation in Beit Hanoun, northern Gaza, dismantling over 11 kilometers of underground Hamas tunnel routes. The operation, conducted under the 252nd Division, involved hundreds of operations to destroy terrorist infrastructure above and below ground. An additional three kilometers of tunnels were dismantled during combat throughout the war. The Beit Hanoun area served as a central Hamas stronghold, with an underground network built beneath residential homes, public institutions, and roads. Hundreds of above-ground terrorist sites were also destroyed, and numerous terrorists were eliminated during operations to defend western Negev communities.
