IDF eliminates artillery commander of Imam Hussein Division

The Israeli Air Force struck the main fire-control headquarters of the Imam Hussein Division on Sunday, eliminating the organization's artillery commander, Kamil Melhem, along with additional terrorists including aides to Division Commander Yahya Hussein. Melhem directed artillery attacks toward Israel and IDF troops, served as a key knowledge authority within the division, and was involved in weapons procurement and served as chief of staff for the division commander. The Imam Hussein Division is a military force used by Iran's Quds Force to strengthen the "Axis of Resistance" and execute attacks against Israeli soldiers and civilians. The IDF says the elimination severely degrades the division's capabilities.
