IDF eliminates Hamas military defense chief in Rafah Brigade
The IDF and ISA eliminated Ismail Masri, Head of Military Defense in Hamas' Rafah Brigade, in a strike last Tuesday. Masri was a senior figure responsible for advancing activities to harm IDF soldiers in Gaza. Throughout the war, he coordinated military security and counterintelligence for the Rafah Brigade and was involved in rebuilding Hamas' military capabilities to carry out attacks. IDF troops under Southern Command remain deployed in the area under the ceasefire agreement and will continue operating to remove threats.
