IDF eliminates Hamas terrorist who abducted Mia Schem on October 7

The IDF struck and eliminated Ibrahim Abu Tzakar, a Hamas terrorist operating as a paramedic, last Wednesday. Intelligence analysis confirms Abu Tzakar infiltrated Israeli territory during the October 7 massacre and participated in the abduction of Mia Schem from the Mefalsim area. Schem was kidnapped after attending the Nova music festival near Kibbutz Re'im and was released in November 2023 as part of a hostage exchange agreement. The IDF says Abu Tzakar led numerous attacks against Israeli troops and civilians. IDF forces in the Southern Command remain deployed under the ceasefire agreement.
