IDF eliminates Hamas terrorists involved in October 7 hostage abductions

IDF troops eliminated an armed Hamas cell that approached the Gaza border Saturday planning an imminent attack on Israeli forces in central Gaza Strip. The strike killed Ali Sami Mohammad Shakra, a Hamas Nukhba platoon commander who infiltrated Israel on October 7 and participated in abducting Hersh Goldberg-Polin, Alon Ohel, Eliya Cohen, and Or Levy from a bomb shelter in Re'im. Also eliminated were Mohammad Mabhouh, a regional company commander in Hamas' al-Bureij Battalion, and Mohammad Fuad Jaser Sayyid, both involved in holding Avinatan Or in captivity. The IDF released a photo showing Sayyid alongside Or during his captivity in a Hamas tunnel. Additional Nukhba terrorists involved in rocket launches toward Israel were also killed in the operation.
