IDF eliminates Hamas Training Department commander in northern Gaza strike

The IDF eliminated Fadi Falah Ashour Daghmash, a commander in Hamas' military Training Department, in an overnight airstrike in northern Gaza Strip. Daghmash led training programs for Hamas' Nukhba forces in the years before the October 7th massacre and directed combat operations against IDF troops in Gaza. In recent months, he advanced additional attacks and sought to restore Hamas' operational capabilities. The IDF took steps to mitigate civilian harm, including precise munitions and aerial surveillance. Troops under Southern Command remain deployed under the ceasefire agreement.
