IDF Eliminates Senior Hezbollah Commander in Response to Attack on Soldiers

The IDF struck the Deir ez-Zahrania area on Saturday and eliminated Abu Hassan Alaa, a senior commander in Hezbollah's "Badder Unit." The strike was conducted in response to a Hezbollah action against IDF soldiers operating in the Security Zone. Hassan Alaa was involved in advancing numerous terror attacks against IDF soldiers, including launching explosive drones toward troops in southern Lebanon. Over recent years, he commanded several combat sectors that operated against IDF soldiers and Israeli civilians. The IDF stated his elimination severely degrades the unit's management capability, adding to the recent elimination of Ali Samir Al-Haj Hassan, a Radwan Force battalion commander.
