IDF eliminates terrorist in close-quarters encounter in Beaufort area, two soldiers lightly injured

IDF soldiers eliminated a Hezbollah terrorist during a close-quarters encounter in the Beaufort area of southern Lebanon on Monday. A terrorist inside a building opened fire at IDF soldiers conducting patrols. The soldiers returned fire and eliminated the attacker. Two IDF soldiers were lightly injured in the exchange and evacuated for medical treatment; their families have been notified. Following the incident, the IDF struck weapons storage facilities, command centers, and additional Hezbollah terrorist infrastructure in the area. The IDF stated it will not allow Hezbollah to harm Israeli civilians or soldiers and will continue operations while remaining committed to the ceasefire agreement.
