IDF kills Fathi Hazem in Jenin during attempted stabbing attack

IDF forces shot and killed a Palestinian man attempting to stab a soldier during an operation in Jenin, the military announced. The attacker was identified as Fathi Hazem, father of Raad Hazem who killed three Israelis in a 2022 shooting attack at a Tel Aviv bar. The elder Hazem, a former Palestinian Authority security officer, had become a prominent figure among militants in Jenin following his son's attack, calling on PA security personnel to abandon their posts and fight Israel. No Israeli casualties were reported in the incident.
