IDF now controls 64% of Gaza Strip, up from ceasefire terms

Palestinian political commentator Dr. Ahmad Martaja states that Israel now controls 64% of the Gaza Strip, an increase of more than ten percent compared to what was established in the ceasefire agreement, while Hamas controls only 36%. He describes this as a "quiet occupation" occurring as negotiations remain deadlocked, including fragmentation of the Strip through control of the Salah al-Din axis and expansion of areas unsuitable for habitation. The remarks reflect growing discourse in Israeli and Palestinian media about changing territorial realities on the ground.
