With Sukkos approaching, the IDF has completed a comprehensive force reinforcement plan across all sectors, following the special preparations undertaken for Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur, according to directives from the Chief of Staff. The deployment includes increased forces on the ground alongside strengthened defense and readiness systems.
The IDF announced that regular battalions will remain on standby in all commands through the end of the holiday period, available for rapid deployment alongside brigade headquarters held in readiness.
During Sukkos, combat companies will be allocated to reinforce the various sectors, with additional companies serving as operational reserves. The forces will maintain this deployment throughout Chol HaMoed and until the second days of Yom Tov.
As part of the preparations, most combat soldiers currently at brigade training bases will remain on base for the holiday to ensure operational availability and readiness in the different sectors if needed.
The IDF noted that Central Command will receive additional force reinforcements during the holiday, including fighters from the Maglan unit, as part of efforts to strengthen the operational response in the area.
Ahead of the holiday, multi-agency coordination meetings were held to verify readiness levels, coordination and synchronization among all security bodies, as part of comprehensive preparations for Sukkos.
