IDF Reorganizes Gaza Aid Routes to Thwart Hamas Diversions and Protect Civilians

The Israel Defense Forces have restructured access routes to humanitarian aid distribution centers in Gaza as part of a broader effort to ensure aid reaches civilians—not Hamas. The ongoing distribution is managed by the U.S.-based Global Humanitarian Foundation (GHF) in coordination with international aid organizations, with the IDF enabling their independent activity while operating nearby to secure the area. To improve safety and efficiency, the IDF has implemented physical changes around the aid zones: fencing, signage, new access roads, vehicle barriers, and structural adaptations to allow visual monitoring of aid stocks from outside the compounds. These adjustments are part of a continuous operational review aimed at minimizing civilian friction and preventing militant exploitation.
