IDF rescue delegation returns from Colombia after earthquake mission
The IDF's "Alliance of Brothers" delegation has returned to Israel after completing 12 days of rescue operations in Colombia following a 7.4-magnitude earthquake. The 80-member team of rescuers, engineers, and specialists worked in the city of Cali, where they located and rescued 29 missing persons in cooperation with local forces. Home Front Command chief MG Shai Kelper stated that no missing persons remain in Cali. The delegation, which departed Israel on August 13, also assisted in mapping damaged structures to support reconstruction efforts.
