IDF Uncovers Over 3 Tons of Weapons in Former Assad Command Posts

Israeli forces discovered more than three tons of weaponry last week during operations in the Quneitra region of Mount Hermon, according to an IDF statement. The stockpile was found inside what the military described as "central commando headquarters of the former Syrian regime, responsible for the Syria–Lebanon sector during the Assad era." Among the recovered arms were anti-tank mines, dozens of explosive devices, and rockets. “All materials have been confiscated,” the statement read, noting that the operation aims to prevent weapons smuggling between Syria and Lebanon and to safeguard the residents of the Golan Heights.
