Iran postpones Switzerland meeting, denies Strait of Hormuz closure claims
Iran's Foreign Ministry announced the postponement of a meeting scheduled for Friday in Switzerland, stating that since a memorandum of understanding was signed electronically, the in-person meeting is no longer necessary. The ministry said it plans to hold negotiations in the coming days, with contacts currently underway through mediators ahead of the next stage of talks aimed at reaching a final agreement. Opening negotiations on the final agreement is conditional on implementing provisions of sections 1, 4, 5, 10, and 11 of the memorandum. The ministry also denied media reports claiming Iran would close the Strait of Hormuz.
