Iran’s Advanced Centrifuge Count Explodes to Over 14,000 Since Trump Quit Nuclear Agreement
For years, the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) had imposed strict limits on Iran’s nuclear activities, including capping uranium enrichment levels, restricting the number of centrifuges, and enforcing close inspections. These measures effectively contained Iran’s ability to develop nuclear weapons. However, when the United States withdrew from the deal in 2018 under President Trump’s administration, Iran began to accelerate its nuclear program significantly. Latest data through mid-2025 reveal that Iran’s inventory of advanced centrifuges—machines used to enrich uranium—has skyrocketed from nearly zero to over 14,000.
