Iran’s Jewish MP Denies Spy Arrests

Homayoun Shama, the representative of the Jewish community. The Jewish community representative in the Islamic Consultative Assembly said: “This information is completely false and in no way true.” Referring to the arrest of Jews for “holding unauthorized family celebrations,” he added: “These people are about to be released, and their arrest has nothing to do with espionage.” Shama, who frequently criticizes Israel at every opportunity, stated: “Since the beginning of the revolution, not a single person from the community has been arrested on charges of espionage, and this community has always proven its loyalty to the system and sovereignty of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
