Iran Says No Active Negotiations with US, Cites Violations of Agreements
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that Iran is not currently conducting negotiations with the United States, though messages are being exchanged through intermediaries. He said intermediaries are working to recreate conditions for renewing talks, but negotiations cannot resume while the US continues to violate memorandums of understanding without compensation. Araghchi clarified that negotiations do not automatically mean reopening the Strait of Hormuz, adding that any agreement would require fulfilling additional conditions conveyed through intermediaries.
