Iranian Boeing 737 forced to return after tire explosion and engine damage on takeoff
A Boeing 737 operated by Iranian airline Saha Air experienced a tire explosion and engine damage shortly after takeoff from Mashhad Airport en route to Kermanshah, forcing the aircraft to return and make an emergency landing. The incident occurred yesterday, according to the Rokna news agency. Passengers reportedly panicked during the emergency, with one heard repeatedly screaming. The malfunction highlights ongoing challenges Iran faces in maintaining its aging aircraft fleet due to lack of spare parts resulting from international sanctions.
