Iranian parliament official dismisses US-Iran deal reports, threatens harsh response

Ebrahim Rezaei, spokesperson for Iran's National Security and Foreign Policy Committee, dismissed Axios reports of progress toward a US-Iran agreement as "an American wish list." He stated that "the Americans will not achieve in a lost war what they failed to achieve in negotiations." Rezaei said Iran is on high alert and threatened that if the US does not "surrender and make the necessary concessions, we will respond harshly in a way that will make them regret it."
