Iranian Preacher Delivers Friday Sermon in Burial Shroud
In the Iranian city of Kashan, a preacher arrived for his Friday sermon wearing a white burial shroud, known as a kafan—a striking display of martyrdom symbolism as Iran braces for continued conflict with Israel. The dramatic gesture was meant to convey spiritual readiness to die in defense of the Islamic Republic, echoing themes of "sacrifice" and "resistance" that have dominated Friday sermons across Iran since the escalation of hostilities.
