Israel approves construction of 126 housing units in Sa-Nur settlement
Twenty years after the 2005 Gaza Disengagement, a zoning plan has been approved for building 126 permanent homes in Sa-Nur. The construction will include private houses and apartment buildings around the historic fortress, marking the first such approval for communities evacuated during the disengagement. Finance Minister Smotrich welcomed the decision, stating: "A message to our enemies — we are here to stay." Samaria Regional Council head Yossi Dagan, who has returned to Sa-Nur, recited the Shehecheyanu blessing and called it "a true correction of the crime of the expulsion."
