Israel fires over 50 artillery shells at southern Lebanon amid stalled ceasefire talks
More than 50 artillery shells were fired overnight toward the Ali al-Taher ridge in Lebanon's Nabatieh district, according to Lebanese sources. The shelling comes as negotiations between Israel and Lebanon remain deadlocked. Hezbollah-affiliated Al Mayadeen reports that American and Israeli delegations have demanded Hezbollah withdraw from the Ali al-Taher ridge and rejected expanding "pilot zones" before progress is made in existing areas. No new negotiation round is planned for next month, with any future talks likely postponed until after summer.
