Israel refuses U.S. request to withdraw from Lebanon amid dispute over cease-fire terms

A dispute over the U.S.-Iran agreement on Lebanon centers on IDF withdrawal demands. Iran is demanding full withdrawal, which Israel rejects. Five IDF outposts were in Lebanon when Operation "Roar of the Lion" began, with forces advancing to the yellow line during the April cease-fire and significantly further since.
