Israel's sixth submarine INS Drakon en route, to arrive within days

Israel's sixth submarine, the INS Drakon, is currently traveling through the Mediterranean Sea and will dock in Israel within days, the IDF Chief of General Staff announced at the 153rd Naval Officers Course graduation ceremony. The submarine is the first vessel to be incorporated under the "Hoshen" multi-year plan, which emphasizes maritime capabilities to ensure Israel's naval superiority. The plan includes additional advanced systems such as Reshef-class missile ships designed to operate at greater ranges with enhanced firepower. The Chief of Staff said the submarine symbolizes the Navy's transformation into "a powerful strategic arm capable of reaching any threat in the Middle East and even beyond."
