Sunday's weather will be partly cloudy to clear with no significant temperature changes expected. Beginning this afternoon, localized rain and isolated thunderstorms are forecast, primarily in the eastern part of the country. Authorities are warning of a real risk of flash flooding in the Judean Desert, Dead Sea area, northern Arava, and northeastern Negev regions. Overnight conditions will remain partly cloudy.
The Israel Police have issued a flash flood warning for the Judean Desert riverbeds and the northern and southern Dead Sea areas, effective from noon (12:00 PM) through early evening (6:00 PM).
In a public advisory, Israeli police "request that the public plan their travel in advance and adjust their routes according to expected weather conditions. This includes avoiding high-risk areas, including riverbeds and hiking trails, due to the danger of being swept away and the real threat to life."
According to the forecast, Monday will bring partly cloudy skies with a slight drop in temperatures, which will be slightly below average in mountainous and inland areas. Heat stress will ease. Starting in the afternoon, localized rain is possible, mainly in eastern regions.
