Israeli Chief of Staff reports over 1,700 Hezbollah killed in Lebanon campaign

The Israeli Chief of Staff announced during a visit inside Lebanese territory that Hezbollah has suffered more than 1,700 killed since the beginning of the campaign. He stated that IDF forces from the 98th Division are continuing operations in Bint Jbeil, while the 162nd Division is clearing terror villages in the Beit Lif area. Three additional divisions are stabilizing the forward defensive line. The Chief of Staff instructed that all territory in southern Lebanon up to the Litani line will become a killing zone for Hezbollah terrorists. The Lebanese Ministry of Health reports 2,167 killed in Lebanon since fighting began, meaning the Israeli figure indicates more than 78% of casualties are Hezbollah combatants.
