Kan reporter names ex-security official in October 7 campaign

Ayala Hasson, a reporter and anchor at Kan 11, has revealed new details about behind-the-scenes contacts tied to political campaigns around the events of October 7, and sharply attacked the "warnings" campaign now circulating in Israeli media.

Speaking on the Galei Yisrael radio program "Pitchi VeZamri BaAm", Hasson disclosed: "Abbas Kamel, the head of Egyptian intelligence, landed in Israel for 67 minutes. He did not meet with the prime minister, he did not meet with the head of the Mossad, he did not meet with the defense minister. He met with a security figure. Do I know who the figure is? I know, I know. By the way, this former security figure is part of those stirring things up here, a major stirrer."

Hasson also addressed the command-level conception and attempts at arrangements with Hamas in the years before the war, with direct criticism of security chiefs: "The Israeli Shin Bet under Ronen Bar and Egyptian intelligence discussed at length how to encourage an arrangement with Sinwar, who deceived everyone.
