Knesset Committee Extends Emergency Home Front Status Through Month’s End

The Knesset’s Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee unanimously approved the extension of Israel’s “special situation” declaration for the home front through the end of the month, following a classified operational-intelligence briefing. Representatives from the National Security Council (NSC), Military Intelligence (Aman), and the Operations Directorate (Amatz) presented updates in a closed-door session held earlier today. Committee Chair Yuli Edelstein confirmed the extension was granted without objection, citing the ongoing war situation. A second classified session—this time focused on diplomatic developments—is scheduled for tomorrow and will include Foreign Minister Gideon Sa’ar.
