Lebanese Military Delegation for Israel Talks to Include Multi-Sectarian Officers

Lebanon's military delegation for talks with Israel at the end of the month will include officers from multiple religious sects, according to Hezbollah-affiliated newspaper Al-Akhbar. The delegation will feature Brigadier General Wael Abbas (Shiite), three Christian officers, Colonel Omar Khalikhal (Sunni), and Colonel Mazen Al-Hajj (Druze), all from the Lebanese Army. The Lebanese government is seeking to establish broad sectarian legitimacy for the negotiation delegation under a military framework.
