Lebanese Parliament Speaker says Hezbollah wants ceasefire with Israel

Nabih Berri, Speaker of the Lebanese Parliament and Hezbollah's representative in negotiations with the West, told the New York Times that Hezbollah wants a ceasefire with Israel. Berri stated that Trump is the only one who can achieve a ceasefire in Lebanon because he can make Israel comply. "Hezbollah is open to a real ceasefire. We need a ceasefire, whether it is connected to Iran or separate from it. Israel wants negotiations under fire, and it is costing us dearly," Berri said.
