Lebanese Sunni leader criticizes Hezbollah over reported Israeli capture of Ali al-Taher ridge

Prominent Lebanese Sunni leader Fuad Makhzoumi sharply criticized Hezbollah following Israeli reports of capturing the Ali al-Taher ridge. "If the report about the fall of the Ali al-Taher ridge is true, it means you preferred to hand it over to Israel rather than to the Lebanese army," Makhzoumi stated. He accused Hezbollah's weapons of preventing the Lebanese army from entering its own land while failing to stop Israel from capturing it. Makhzoumi called on Hezbollah to hand over weapons to the state, saying residents of Jabal Amel are losing their land while Shiites in the south pay with their homes and children's future.
